Spring Show 2026 – 18th April 2026

If you need something to whet your appetite, have a look at last year’s brochure as that will give you a good idea of the different classes that you can enter. Novices & pros are equally welcome, and the classes are not just about flowers, there are all sorts of classes, so take a peek.

The 2026 classes are now available. The official 2026 show brochure will have the fine details and rules, but the preview will enable people to see the classes and decide what to enter.

SPRING SHOW 2026 CLASSES

Cookery

There are lots of opportunities, whether you like making bread, cakes, scones or preserves and more. You can enter as many classes as you want.

This year we have selected another local recipe – Felton Spiced Loaf – and we have provided a nut-free recipe, which everyone who enters this class must use.

Floral Art

This is open to everyone and the winner will be announced based on votes submitted by anyone who bought an admission ticket.

The topic for this year’s show is “Table centre piece for a spring wedding”.

Flowers

There is something for everyone here – adults & children, those new to showing flowers and well as seasoned exhibitors.

This is not only for growers of daffodils & tulips, there is also a general section for other plants and flowers.

Fly-tying

We welcome back fishing fans to the fly-tying category.

Handicrafts

If you like sewing, knitting or cross-stitch, have a look at the classes that have been selected for this year’s show.

Photography

We welcome photography for the first time – there is an open category which children and adults can enter, as well as age classes for children under 11 years old and children aged 11 to 16 years old.

The topic, for all classes, this year is “Photograph of Alnwick”.

Children's Classes

There is a variety of classes for children to demonstrate their creativity – poetry, arts & crafts, cookery and photography. There are 3 age classes – children under 11 years old, children aged 11 to 16 years old and an open class for all children aged 16 years and under.

Support Alnwick Spring Show

Support comes in various forms, including financial and administrative and there are many options.

If you would like to help the Alnwick Spring Show by sponsoring the whole event, or a particular Class, please get in touch so we can have a chat.

You don’t have to be a plant expert to support the show – if you have some time to spare before, or on, show day or just want to find out more about volunteering, please get in touch. There are lots of different and interesting things to do to create the show.

We greatly appreciate the support that we receive from grant funders, sponsors and supporters, we would not be able to deliver such a successful event without them.
